Cristián Mohaded is an Argentine artist and designer born in the countryside (Catamarca, 1980). As a designer, he has always worked closely with artisans from his home country, exploring traditions, crafts, and local culture, blurring the line between design and art. He also works internationally as an independent designer in the fields of furniture, lighting, objects, spaces and installation. From private commissions to industrial companies, he is dedicated to developing and designing products with a strong focus on materiality, artisanal techniques, and production processes. His works were selected and incorporated into the permanent collection of the Denver Art Museum, the Museum of Arts and Design, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and at the Musée Des Arts Décoratifs (Paris, 2014).
