Description
A collection of armchairs, sofas, and coffee tables inspired by origami, with bold yet simple shapes. Upholstered in soft wool.
Crease, the origami armchair

Crease is the result of almost archetypal, classic models, as if the "reverse" side of the lining concealed every peculiarity. But what truly distinguishes it - and makes Toogood's signature evident - is the very importance of the upholstery, which serves as a starting point, even before the structure itself. All the components of Crease are made by hands that seem to have folded the paper to cover the "structure." It is the “fold” lines, intentionally imperfect, that create soft, playful, and sculptural forms.

Craftsmanship plays a key role in this project - as always happens at Meritalia®: once again, the radical brand par excellence leverages expert and forward-thinking people to explore new frontiers of design with spontaneous and, above all, refined elegance.Crease Toogood's first collaboration with Meritalia. A collection of seating and tables inspired by two-dimensional nets, flat-pack and the act of folding paper. Crease turns upholstery upside down.
