Misha Kahn was born in Duluth, Minnesota, in 1989. The author has a particular bond with his roots in the Midwest: in his own words, the midwest is the “...salt of the earth. Also, home. Its only hyperbole is its vastness, everything else just feels grounded”.
In 2011, he graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Furniture Design. Always pushing boundaries, Misha Kahn’s artistic journey always moves towards self inventing, adapting, and processing several mediums including metalwork, glass, wood, textiles, ceramic, casting, fiberglass, resin, and cement.
His work has been exhibited internationally and is in the permanent collection of museums such as the Corning Museum of Glass, NY; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas, TX; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX and Speed Museum of Art, Louisville, KY. Misha Kahn lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
